― ABOUT ME
Hi, I'm Juliet, a fully qualified Approved Driving Instructor (ADI), and I run HeadStart Driving School in Silsden, Bradford.
I have an extensive background in education. I spent 34 years in the Local Education System, working as a Teacher, Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENDCO), Deputy Head and Headteacher. Consequently, I have a strong understanding of students' additional needs and the teaching approaches that can be applied to ensure the best outcomes for my learners. I am DBS checked for your safety and peace of mind.
I was brought up in a world of cars, as my dad was a mechanical engineer designing shock absorbers. Growing up, I spent many weekends testing prototype cars with my dad and visiting car shows. Because of this, I have always loved driving, and it is this passion, as well as the skills I have picked up along the way, that I strive to pass on to my pupils.

I offer manual driving lessons for all types of learners. Whether you're an absolute beginner, a more experienced learner looking for an assessment drive prior to your test, or a qualified driver seeking motorway lessons, I am here to help.
My lessons are based around a progressive skills-approach. I have carefully constructed my bespoke syllabus to ensure you only tackle a new skill once you have the under-pinning abilities in place to enable success. My syllabus incorporates the DVSA's Ready To Pass skills, ensuring that, once we have completed the programme, you will be fully prepared to succeed in your driving test.
I operate in the Silsden, Crosshills, Eastburn, Steeton, Bradley, Cononley, Skipton and Keighley areas. Test centres used are Steeton or Skipton.
I use the Mydrivetime diary system and student app. With this system, you can keep a track of when your lessons are booked as well as whether the lesson is pre paid or needs to be paid for. I will fill out your progress record and make notes regarding how each lesson has gone and the agreed goals for the next lesson. There is also the option to make Self-reflection notes after each driving lesson. Take a look at the student app here.

My standard rate of £40 per hour.
Bulk-buy saving
A discounted rate of 10 hours for £375, saving £25.
― MY LESSONS
My lessons come in 1-hour, 1.5-hour, or 2-hour blocks. I can also deliver intense block lessons by prior arrangement if you already have prior driving experience.
I have two pricing options: a standard pay-as-you-go rate and a bulk-buy offer.
